Major General Albert Miller, the Director of Training and Readiness, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations at Air Force Headquarters, visited the Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS) in Orlando today, July 28.

During the visit, Maj. Gen. Miller took time to meet with AFAMS senior leadership and experts, the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division Commanding Officer, Capt. Dan Covelli, and the Director of the Synthetic Training Environment Cross-Functional Team, Army Brig. Gen. William Glaser, before concluding his visit with a quick stop at the University of Central Florida’s Institute of Simulation and Training lab.

AFAMS is a key player in Team Orlando, a collaboration of the nation’s leading government, industry, and academia modeling, simulation & training experts, all working together in Central Florida to create future military technology solutions that will enable more effective training by using synthetic training environments, virtual and augmented realities, better combat equipment, vehicle upgrades with higher precision, and safer battlefield postures for our warfighters.

AFAMS was excited to share just a few of the exciting projects they’re working on with Maj. Gen. Miller during his visit, as well as discuss the possibilities of future Air Force and joint military projects.
