Senior leaders from the Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS) hosted representatives from the Royal Air Force (RAF) Air Warfare Centre (AWC) at its Orlando headquarters on June 8, 2015. The visit allowed them to network with AFAMS leadership and subject matter experts from the other Services based at Team Orlando. During the briefings, they all shared their experiences, differences and commonalities of their modeling and simulation (M&S) operating and training configurations.

The Air Warfare Centre, established in October 1993 by the Royal Air Force, is the primary source of impartial, authoritative and integrated advice to support success on current and future operations in the Air and Space environments, including associated Electronic Warfare, Cyber and Information. AWC’s headquarters is located at RAF Waddington Station, United Kingdom.

The following day, the Officers toured the Central Florida Research Park, and visited several industry partners’ facilities, where they were briefed about current M&S initiatives and technologies.

For AFAMS, the exchange represents a great opportunity to expand the LVC scope at an international level and continue supporting efforts to build an efficient foundation to achieve Readiness thru LVC.
