BRIDG will open its new state-of-the-art facility at the end of March. The 109,000-square-foot facility will be one of the most advanced fabrication labs in the world for sensors and imagers.

In this facility, members/partners have the opportunity to share equipment and conduct research needed to profitably access the next-generation sensor and imager economy. Nothing short of an engineering marvel, this new facility is unprecedented in bringing together the materials, equipment, and metrology to address all levels of industry challenges in a collaborative and inspiring environment.

“The BRIDG represents the culmination of state and regional leaders, as well as Team Orlando members with efforts led by the The Corridor, UCF, and the Orlando Economic Partnership, to bring this capability to life in Central Florida,” said Kent Gritton, JTIEC director. “It has high potential to benefit a broad array of Department of Defense acquisition efforts to include our own Team Orlando science and technology initiatives.”

Economies of scale will be realized using the robust, cost-effective domestic manufacturing infrastructure. This will result in substantial growth for the United States economy and will attract and grow significant advanced manufacturing research.
