Col. Wynndee Young assumes command of PM TRASYS at Change-of-Command Ceremony

Col. Marcus Reynolds transferred command of Marine Corps Systems Command’s Program Manager for Training Systems (PM TRASYS) to Col. Wynndee M. Young during the Change of Command Ceremony, Aug. 7.

 

Brig. Gen. Tamara L. Campbell, commander of Marine Corps Systems Command, spoke at the Change of Command Ceremony, which was held at the Central Florida Tech Grove.

 

In her remarks, Campbell spoke on the opportunities available as well as the advancements made by PM TRASYS. She said that now is the time to get after some of the things that we need and she spoke about the value of the partnership with Team Orlando and the University of Central Florida.. “I ask you to be inquisitive, to be curious, to continue to look for spaces where we can make a difference,” she said.

 

“I’ll get an opportunity to talk to the teams later on as we have our all hands and we’ll talk a little bit about where I see additional opportunity space, but I wanted to tell you as Team Orlando as well as PM TRASYS that I look forward to this continued partnership as Col. Young takes charge here,” said Campbell.

 

“Being entrusted with command is one of the greatest honors in our profession, but command here at TRASYS has meant something uniquely powerful,” Reynolds said to Young. “[You won’t be] just leading Marines and civilians but ensuring that those who go forward to fight are better prepared, better trained, and better supported because of the systems, the people, and the partnerships we bear.”

 

 

Prior to her role at TRASYS, Young served as the Program Manager for Wargaming Capability at Marine Corps Systems Command beginning in April 2023. She has been with Marine Corps Systems Command since August 2020 and has served as a Program Analyst and Deputy Program Manager on other programs during that time.

 

“You have welcomed me before I arrived here,” Young said in her remarks. “There’s been a lot of welcoming emails [that] helped me understand the uniqueness of this role and the support that is here to get the mission done.”

 

Young expressed her confidence in the team at PM TRASYS. “I truly believe this is the right team to continue to pursue the commander’s guidance and goals going forward TCOM and the rest of the Marine Corps training requirements.”

 

Young will be joined by Lt. Col. David B. Bain who will be the deputy program manager at PM TRASYS.

 

Reynolds was presented with the Meritorious Service Medal: Gold Star during the ceremony, recognizing his diligent work to revitalize global training system readiness, improve range sustainment, and reintegrate stakeholder relationships in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Reynolds is set to report to the Missile Defense Agency, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama by Sept. 1, 2025.
