Fitness Challenge raises funds for community’s Marines
TOPICS & CATEGORIES
Do you think you’re in top physical shape? Now’s your chance to prove it!
Next month, March 5 at Blanchard Park, the Central Florida Marine Corps Foundation is hosting its inaugural “Physical Fitness Test Challenge” and the “Suck it Up and Run!” It’s a great way to test your abilities, complete with pull-ups, crunches and a 3-mile run. The best part is the PFT Challenge is raising funds to benefit Central Florida Marines.
One hundred percent of the funds raised through this event will support the Marine Corps community through undergraduate scholarships, provision of services for veterans in need, and other programs to help ensure that local Marines, community youth, and returning veterans continue to thrive.
There are three ways to participate in the Physical Fitness Test Challenge:
• Traditional participant is one who attends on March 5 and joins the rest of the crew to take on the challenge. These registrants receive a custom race shirt, chip timing, race bib, race goody bag and a custom race medal.
• A virtual participant “competes” using any mobile device to track their run and then tags it with “CFMCF and #PFTChallenge. These participants will receive their race shirt and medal in the mail.
• The snooze button participant is the ultimate choice for those who want to help out but feel like working out is not as enticing as another hour in bed. These registrants receive an official “Snooze Button Certificate” for their support.
The Central Florida Marine Corps Foundation is a not-for-profit organization comprised of veterans, current members of the United States Armed Services, cadets, spouses, widows, and widowers. These individuals are dedicated to improving their local community through education and service.
If you’re interested in the Challenge, register or email email@example.com with any questions. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
