The 2023 Serious Games Showcase & Challenge (SGS&C) is officially accepting game submissions for this year’s challenge. Finalists from the SGS&C will showcase their games at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) while competing for several awards, including the coveted People’s Choice Award chosen by I/ITSEC attendees.

“We want to be sure that everyone is aware we have started our process a bit earlier than usual,” said Adelle Adams, SGS&C industry lead. “This new timeline gives our participants the same amount of time during the submission window, but by opening game submissions this month, we can plan for our down select earlier and allow our finalists to have more time to prepare for I/ITSEC.”

This year’s submission window closes on Aug. 25, which is sooner than in previous years, due to the new timeline.

This year was the first year of the Serious Games and Showcase Europe (SGSCE), held at DSET in June. Blueflame Digital’s game, Chomp, was the winner, and will be at I/ITSEC to share their winning game.
