HADEAN and BAE Systems expand partnership with new agreement

Hadean has signed a commercialization agreement with BAE Systems to increase the scale of Project OdySSEY deployments, Dec. 4.

 

Hadean is a technology innovator specializing in AI, synthetics and spatial data. Its synthetic environments bridge physical and virtual worlds to enhance situational understanding and decision-making.

 

“Our close relationship with BAE Systems highlights the role that tech startups are playing in the transformation of the defense industry,” said Craig Beddis, CEO of Hadean. “As we see the synthetic environment become the operating environment, having access to highly realistic, accurate representations and simulations of the live environment will prove paramount to our national defense and security.”

 

The agreement marks a significant milestone for the project, combining Hadean’s AI and synthetic capabilities with BAE Systems’ expertise in defense to enhance operational readiness for NATO and allied nations.

 

BAE Systems offers advanced, technology-driven defense, aerospace, and security solutions, employing a skilled workforce of about 100,000 people across more than 40 countries.

 

“We are working with Hadean to provide the most realistic synthetic environment which can support armed forces across the world to better train and prepare,” said Lucy Walton, head of training at BAE Systems. “Hadean is a vital partner to Project OdySSEy, the cognitive layer they are providing will ensure the platform will provide the next generation of synthetic training.”

 

Project OdySSEY surpasses traditional synthetic training by providing users with a real-time synthetic environment that directly reflects real-world operations. The program enables near-limitless training scenarios across land, air, sea, space, and cyber domains simultaneously, allowing for more realistic and accurate training planning and decision-making across all domains.

 

Hadean will provide the cognitive layer, using machine learning to develop real-time pattern-of-life simulations. By anticipating, preparing for and training against realistic human actions and evolving threats, allied nations will gain a competitive edge in addressing new and emerging challenges.

 

BAE Systems and Hadean exhibited at I/ITSEC in Orlando, Florida. The companies conducted demonstrations to showcase the future of synthetic training at this year’s event, which focused on assuring deterrence through integrated training and readiness.
