Hatalom signs one of Orlando’s largest office leases this year

Hatalom Corp., an Orlando-based defense company that provides defense simulation and training, is expanding its presence at Central Florida Research Park’s Challenger Tech Center. The company signed a 42,000 square foot lease at the six-building, 320,000-square-foot office park which was recently renovated.

“This new facility supports our long-term growth strategy and reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional support to our customers,” said John Hinnant, president and CEO of Hatalom.

The new lease is one of the largest in Orlando this year, according to the brokerage, Avison Young, and the result of a “strategic leasing campaign to attract top-tier technology and defense businesses,” said Greg Morrison, Avison Young’s Orlando managing director. Office leases over the past year have typically averaged around 5,000 square feet of space, according to Avison Young.

“The expanded space gives us greater capacity for engineering initiatives, R&D projects, and large government logistics programs. It includes secure areas, along with dedicated zones for demonstration labs, system integration and testing, and equipment staging and storage,” said Hinnant.

Challenger Tech Center sits within the 1,027-acre Central Florida Research Park. The research, technology and defense hub is adjacent to the University of Central Florida and hosts over 125 companies and more than 10,000 employees, just 12 miles east of downtown Orlando.
