Indienomicon has rescheduled its Armed Forces Jam from September 13, 2024, to April 2025. This annual event gathers developers who rapidly prototype serious games that address the U.S. military’s training challenges.

In previous years, the Central Florida Tech Grove has hosted the jam during the first half of September. Over two days, participants focus on specific challenge areas that military officials have selected for the competition, and they form groups to develop products intended to provide solutions.

When the Armed Forces Jam returns to the Tech Grove in Orlando, Florida, it will simultaneously debut in Seattle, Washington, to bring more minds working toward solutions for warfighters.

“I’m excited to see the growth,” said Kunal Patel, co-founder and director of Indienomicon. “The U.S. armed forces have a global impact. We do this to improve all aspects of [warfighter] training and safety. To see other cities getting involved is huge.”

The expansion of the event enables participants to tackle more challenge statements and win more prizes.

“This is the first time we’ve done something this big,” said Isabella Johnston, CEO of Cat5 Studios. “We’re going across two time zones to make this bigger than anything we’ve done before. We’re very excited about that. This brings in more solutions and more developers, creating a greater impact for our military.”

Organizations interested in supplying challenge statements, software or hardware for event participants should reach out to Indienomicon.
