Women in Defense (WID) chapters from the Space Coast, Central Florida, and Tampa will host their joint “Space Force Leadership of Today and Tomorrow” breakfast at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Florida, Jan. 31.

 

Space Force Brig. Gen. Kristin Panzenhagen will provide the event’s keynote presentation. Panzenhagen currently serves in multiple roles as the program executive officer for Assured Access to Space, Space Launch Delta 45 commander, Eastern Range director, and director of the Space Systems Command’s Launch and Range Operations.

 

Retired Air Force Col. Rachel McCaffrey, WID’s executive director, will provide an organizational update. The breakfast will also feature a panel of senior officer and enlisted leaders from the Space Force, who will discuss the development of the next generation of women in national space defense leadership.

WID’s Space Coast chapter was founded in 2013 with a mission focused on providing networking and professional development opportunities for women’s roles in national defense and security, supporting military service members, and encouraging partnerships among the local contractor community, defense industry and military personnel.
