WEAKLEY-WALLACE--ARMY-JULY-14-wLieutenant Colonel Wallace Edward Weakley Jr. enlisted in the Regular Army in August of 1987. He spent four years on active duty and five more years in the Army Reserves while attending college. In May 1996, LTC Weakley received his Commission in the Regular Army as an Armor Officer.

LTC Weakley has served at multiple assignment locations including Fort Carson, Colorado; Erlangen, Germany; Fort Stewart, Georgia; Fort Knox, Kentucky; Fort Hood, Texas; Camp Shelby, Mississippi; and MacDill AFB, Florida. His operational positions include: armor platoon leader, scout platoon leader, company executive officer, division headquarters commandant, battalion logistics officer, battalion assistant operations officer, armor company commander, headquarters company commander, observer/controller team chief, and battalion operations officer.

In August 2007, LTC Weakley transitioned branches to the Army Acquisition Corps and attended the Army Acquisition Basic Course and Advanced Contracting Course. He has served as an Assistant Product Manager for the Distributed Common Ground System – Army, Operational Test Command as the Apache Block III Test Officer, and most recently with USSOCOM as the C4 Systems Acquisition Manager and Assistant Program Manager for Sensitive Activities.

LTC Weakley is a graduate of the Armor Basic and Advanced Courses, Combined Arms Staff Services School, Command and General Staff School Intermediate Level Education, and Defense Acquisition University Program Managers Course. He is an Acquisition Corps Member and is Defense Acquisition Level III Program Management and Level I Test and Evaluation.

LTC Weakley’s Military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Action Badge, Parachutists Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge, and Order of St. George.

LTC Weakley holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Technology from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Engineering Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi.

LTC Weakley has been married to Deborah Michelle Cox from Westfield, Indiana since 1996. They have two children, Eddie (17) and Ally (14).
