MODSIM, STE CFT

The 13th International MODSIM World Conference will take place in Norfolk, Virginia, from May 9 to May 11. This year’s theme is “Building a Better Tomorrow.”

The MODSIM Conference brings modeling and simulation (M&S) professionals together from government, academia and industry. It is the only conference that features broad coverage specific to the M&S field and focuses on presentation tracks in security, industry and community.

Scheduled events include formal demonstrations of the latest M&S technologies, a variety of papers and discussion panels, industry workshops, and an exhibit floor of companies displaying their own recent advances in the industry.

The first day will feature congressional and industry keynotes addresses, a moderated discussion on technologies that build toward the Metaverse, and an industry keynote panel on how M&S tools are creating solutions for a more resilient future.

The second day will begin with Army Brig. Gen. William Glaser, director for the Synthetic Training Environment Cross Functional Team, delivering the government keynote address. The rest of the day will include a paper session, student capstone presentations, and a panel on medical M&S technologies.

The final day will offer two paper sessions, a panel on augmented/virtual reality technologies contributing to the Metaverse, and a special STEM event for students featuring hands-on M&S demonstrations.

The MODSIM conference will also provide multiple networking opportunities over all three days. For more information, go to https://www.modsimworld.org/.
