NCS opens M&S Hall of Fame nominations
National Center for Simulation announced last month that nominations are now open for the next class of the NCS Modeling and Simulation Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was founded in March 2014 to recognize and honor individuals who have significantly contributed to advancements in modeling and simulation. The Hall of Fame Wall is permanently displayed in the South Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center.
When considering a candidate for nomination, a nominee’s field or area of achievement is not limited only to defense, but significant contributions in other areas, like medical, education and gaming, among others, will also be considered. Nomination forms are available on the NCS website and anyone may submit an individual for consideration.
Each candidate’s nomination package must be received on or before Oct. 31. Once submissions have closed, a subcommittee of the NCS Board of Directors will screen the candidates, and present their recommendations to the full Board of Directors for a final approval and vote, selecting between 2 to 5 individuals to be inducted.
To view the current Hall of Fame members or to learn more about nominating a candidate, please visit the National Center for Simulation website.
NCS prepares for September election
National Center for Simulation will accept nominees until Aug. 28 for the upcoming Board of Directors (BOD) election in September to fill the six seats of members whose terms of service expire on Sept. 30. Any individual of a member company or organization, which is in good standing, may seek election to the BOD.
Anyone interested in seeking a BOD position should contact NCS at 407-384-6111 as soon as possible or visit the NCS website.
