National Center for Simulation is accepting nominations for candidates for the 2022 class of Modeling and Simulation Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was established in 2014 as part of the events commemorating and celebrating NCS’ 20th anniversary year. Today, the Hall of Fame features 34 pioneers, all celebrated for the contributions they have made to modeling and simulation in a variety of industry verticals.
“Our M&S Hall of Fame honors and recognizes the accomplishments and contributions of individuals who have pioneered the development of modeling and simulation over the past 100 years,” said George Cheros, NCS CEO and president. “We encourage the community to think about those that have made an impact in modeling and simulation, and submit nominees — those who have made significant contributions in areas like medical/healthcare, entertainment, transportation and defense, to name just a few.”
Each year, an induction ceremony honoring the newest members is held at the Orange County Convention Center, South Concourse, where the NCS Modeling and Simulation Wall of Fame is displayed.
Said Robert Catto, Full Sail University program director and a 2021 Hall of Fame initiate, “When I first started in this field over 30 years ago, I could never have dreamed I would have earned this incredible honor. I entered this technological realm with passion and a hunger to educate future technologists with the ultimate goal of positively impacting the world we live in. Being recognized by the National Center for Simulation as a Modeling & Simulation Hall of Fame inductee has been a humbling and much appreciated honor.”
Visit the NCS website to learn more about the application and selection process. The deadline for all entries is March 31.
