Team Orlando Industry Capability Day to feature SBIR Phase II work.The National Center Simulation (NCS) announced that October’s NCS/Team Orlando Industry Capability Day will provide an opportunity for industry companies to demonstrate prototypes that resulted from Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) awards with relevancy to the Modeling & Simulation Industry. The objective of this event is to assist small businesses in their pursuit of commercialization opportunities resulting from their SBIR Phase I and II Research/Research & Development (R/R&D) work.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 20 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Partnership III, room 321 A/B, 3039 Technology Parkway, Orlando, Florida 32826.

The SBIR program is highly competitive and encourages domestic small businesses to engage in Federal R/R&D that has the potential for commercialization. Through a competitive awards-based program, SBIR enables small businesses to explore their technological potential and provides an incentive to profit from its commercialization. By including qualified small businesses in the nation’s R&D arena, high-tech innovation is stimulated and the United States gains entrepreneurial spirit as it meets its specific research and development needs.
