National Center Simulation announced that the theme for October’s Team Orlando Industry Capability will focus on Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) in a Phase 2 demonstration day, specifically relevant to the Modeling & Simulation industry. The objective of this event is to assist small businesses in their pursuit of commercialization opportunities resulting from their SBIR Phase 1 and 2 Federal Research/Research and Development (R/R&D) work.
The event will be held Thursday, Oct. 20 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Partnership 3, room 321, 3039 Technology Parkway, Orlando, Florida 32826.
The SBIR program is a highly competitive program that encourages domestic small businesses to engage in Federal R/R&D that has the potential for commercialization. Through a competitive awards-based program, SBIR enables small businesses to explore their technological potential and provides the incentive to profit from its commercialization. By including qualified small businesses in the nation’s R&D arena, high-tech innovation is stimulated and the United States gains entrepreneurial spirit as it meets its specific research and development needs.
