Program Executive Office Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) has evolved and expanded since its origins in 1950 when it was founded through an agreement between the Secretary of the Army and the Secretary of the Navy to work together in the area of training devices.
Today, PEO STRI is the U.S. Army’s acquisition lead in delivering unmatched testing, training, and information operations to enhance operational readiness in support of national defense. At I/ITSEC 2022, PEO STRI’s booth (#1533) features a timeline of its evolution and how it has become the primary organization responsible for readiness and modernization in the Live, Virtual, and Constructive, training and testing domains as they build the Army of 2030.
In addition to the timeline, PEO STRI is also showing the capabilities that promote this mission.
One of those is the Squad Immersive Virtual Trainer (SiVT). The SiVT allows for the rapid conduct and repetition of squad-level training in a mixed reality-based synthetic environment. It enables training on common battle drills and provides a realistic simulation of the operational environment. SiVT also permits U.S. Army training scenarios to be quickly and easily developed and modified by warfighters to suit specific training requirements.
PEO STRI’s booth is also featuring Project Manager Solider Training (PM ST) which provides a full echelon of sustainable live and virtual training solutions enabling Soldiers, units, and leaders the ability to continually maintain readiness.
PM ST is the U.S. Army’s provider of choice for instrumented live training systems and virtual simulation solutions.
