PEO STRI recently received accolades for their workforce members and their significant contributions to the organization over the past year. Every year at the local Army Birthday Ball, PEO STRI awards three prestigious honors: one for Acquisition Person of the Year and two STAR awards for the team of the year in two separate categories, contract execution and project execution.
Phil Davis, a lead contract specialist in PM TRADE, was named the 2013 Acquisition Person of the Year. Davis is an extraordinary professional within the PEO STRI workforce and received this accolade for his top-notch contracting support to the Combat Training Center-Instrumentation System program, as well as to the Foreign Military Sales case for the Egyptian Armed Forces Combat Training Center.
PM CATT’s PM MedSim received the STAR Award for contract execution for significant efforts to ensure program affordability and promoting competition in their contracting strategy. PM MedSim fields world-class Medical Simulation Training Centers that have been credited with saving many lives in combat. Kudos, Team MedSim, for a job well done and making PEO STRI proud. The team members are LTC Wilson Ariza, MAJ Freeman Bonnette, Richard Dunlap, Russ Hernandez, Eric Hertl, Fabiola Hollman, Harroll Ingram, Susan Kerr, William Leeman, David Light, Barry Mackall, Al Maldonado, Felix Marrero, Mohamed Reshad, Harold Spaulding, Kristen Stephens, Pete Suarez, Shannon Swain and Daniel Veenstra.
PM TRADE’s Target Modernization team received the STAR Award for project execution for their cutting-edge and innovative solutions and cost savings/avoidance initiatives. The team is made up of some of PEO STRI’s best and brightest individuals and PEO STRI is proud of their contributions to our Army! The team members are Marie Bittikofer, Chris Camp, Tom Coffman, Graham Fleener, Michelle Garcia, Jim Grosse, Sharon May, Andrea Morhack, Lisa Parker, Melissa Ruping, Jim Styerwalt, James Todd and Mary Vick.
Rob Reyenga, DPEO, stated, “Thank you for the hard work and major accomplishments that you make happen every day here at PEO STRI. I’m proud to be part of this team and I believe it’s important to recognize high achievers.”
