Plug and Play hosts startups at Orlando expo

Plug and Play Tech Center hosted local smart city startups during the Plug and Play Orlando Expo 2024, in Orlando, Florida, Dec. 11.

The startups had participated in an intensive accelerator program closely associated with Plug and Play’s network of corporate partners and investors.

The event featured a handful of panels, including “Innovative Energy Solutions: From Grid Infrastructure to Bio Refining,” “Empowering Growth: How Orange County Can Foster Partnerships with Startups and SMBs to Drive Local Innovation and Economic Development,” and “Translating Research into Practical Smart City Solutions,” among others.

The startups represented in the panels and throughout the event were Switched Source, Hayden AI, Aquaria, Soarce, Agora World, PETE, bundleIQ, Intellectual, and Currus AI. Plug and Play’s partners, which included Orange County, the University of Central Florida, KPMG, Duke Energy, and the city of Lake Nona moderated the panels.

Plug and Play Tech Center’s mission is to drive innovation by connecting entrepreneurs, corporations and investors worldwide. It has over 60 locations globally and has worked with over 90,000 startups across 26 industries. Its Orlando location was established in 2023.
