Florida Simulation SummitModeling & Simulation (M&S) technology once aimed only at the military has broad applications across a number of economic sectors. At the 2016 Florida Simulation Summit on Sept. 22, hosted by Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs and National Center for Simulation, expert panelists from Florida Hospital, Orlando Health, Nemours Children’s Health System and the Veterans Administration SIMLEARN will discuss current uses of simulation in medical/ healthcare.

This is the second year of the summit and this year’s theme centers around “Advancing Human Performance in Healthcare and Sports.”

The afternoon panel will include experts from Orlando City Soccer Club, the U.S. Tennis Association and EON Sports who will explore simulation applications that improve human performance of world class athletes. Also in the afternoon, attendees will hear testimonials from companies who have seized the opportunities provided by the M&S Industry in Central Florida and have grown to become multi-million dollar enterprises.

Dr. Jeffrey P. Gold, chancellor for the University of Nebraska Medical Center, will be the keynote speaker while the luncheon keynote for the event is Thomas J. Graham, M.D., chief health strategy & innovation officer for Tavistock Group, global chairman for the Lake Nona Institute and chairman and CEO for Hemisphere Global, LLC.

The summit takes place at Orange County Convention Center, South Concourse, Room S320, and there’s still time to register at www.simulationinformation.com.
