Make sure to visit the Serious Games Showcase & Challenge booth (#2481) and play the games selected as this year’s finalists. This year’s finalists carried themes involving various medical applications, computer programming, cybersecurity, forensics, and even retail management. Play the games and vote for the coveted People’s Award!
Then, Thursday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m., join the SGS&C IPT, the finalists, and invited special guests for the 2015 awards ceremony. The winners will be announced for the best games in the three categories of student, industry and government games; the best mobile game; the best special emphasis game; the Students’ Choice Award; and the People’s Choice award, exclusively selected by I/ITSEC attendees only!
Additionally, in celebration of the 10th anniversary for SGS&C, please plan to attend the SGS&C special event on Wednesday, Dec. 2 from 4 to 5:30 pm. During this event, panelists will look back to understand the impact that serious games have had thus far, and more importantly, what the future potential is that lies ahead.
The special event begins when exhibits open with a Serious Game Hunt on the exhibit floor for all I/ITSEC registrants and culminates with this lively, expert panel discussion. Don’t miss this great event. Speakers for this event include: Michael Armbruster, OCPS; Joe Kreiner, Epic Games; Mike Macedonia, UCF; David Martz, BroadReach Education; Lisa Holt, SGS&C IPT Chair; and Russell Shilling, U.S. Department of Education.
