Virewirx is returning to Orlando to offer private demos of VX60, XR system that features multiuser, high-fidelity and wireless capabilities.

Virewirx, a leading innovator in 60GHz wireless networking technology, is returning to Orlando, Florida, to offer private demos of VX60, its revolutionary extended reality (XR) system that features multiuser, high-fidelity and wireless capabilities. Virewirx recently became a member of the National Center for Simulation (NCS), which will support the private demos.

“Virewirx is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge wireless technologies that fulfill the potential of next-generation mobile experiences, enabling use in several high-performance applications for companies of any size,” said Jason Fiber, Virewirx CEO. “We are thrilled to be a member of NCS and look forward to a long future of partnership and networking. We will be making good use of the many opportunities and collaborations it affords to its members, such as our upcoming visit to Orlando.”

While complicated cabling or low-quality wireless networking have thus far limited large-scale XR, Virewirx’s VX60 provides exponentially higher wireless XR quality than any other wireless technology, as it is the only wireless XR solution that uses the unlicensed 60 gigahertz (Ghz) wireless spectrum. This represents a pivotal moment in the widespread adoption of XR, where truly immersive experiences can translate to improvements in the Defense Department’s simulated training, virtual reality (VR)-centric research and more.

VX60 offers extremely low latency, minimal dropped frames and/or performance lag, no cyber sickness, and can accommodate upwards of 64 concurrent users with much higher quality than any other wireless XR product. This unique wireless solution securely delivers multi-gigabyte data rates, comparable to those traditionally carried through cables via the 60GHz band.

Virewirx recently made a successful appearance at the 2024 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC), the world’s largest modeling, simulation and training event, where VX60 debuted. After seeing the demo at I/ITSEC, NCS leadership recommended that Virewirx return to Orlando to demonstrate VX60 to targeted audiences in a more private setting.

“It was exciting to see the VX60 demonstration from Virewirx at I/ITSEC 2024 in Orlando, I believe their ability to wirelessly upload data at increasing speeds not only will be valuable to the theme park industry but also our robotic sector and defense,” said Neal Finkelstein, Ph.D., chief operating officer of NCS.

Virewirx will hold demonstrations on March 12, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., and March 13, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., at the University of Central Florida Virtual and Augmented Reality Lab (VR Lab) in the Partnership II building.
