ATSP JV Awarded Contract to Modernize P-8A Operational Flight Trainer Projection Systems Across U.S. and Australian Training Sites

Effort will support high-fidelity P-8A aircrew training and operational readiness at three critical training locations

ATSP JV, a joint venture between C2 Technologies and AVT Simulation, has been awarded a contract to perform modifications to the P-8A Aircrew Training Device (ATD) Operational Flight Trainer (OFT) Projection System at two key U.S. [Jacksonville, Florida Integrated Training Center (ITC) and Whidbey Island, Washington Fleet Training Center (FTC)] and Australia [Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Edinburgh] training locations.

The contract supports the continued advancement and operational availability of the P-8A OFT projection systems that provide air crews with a high-fidelity training environment for mission preparation, proficiency, and readiness.

As the P-8A fleet continues to serve as a critical maritime patrol and reconnaissance capability for the United States and allied nations, effective simulation and training infrastructure remains essential to maintaining aircrew proficiency and operational readiness.

Work at the Jacksonville, Whidbey Island, and RAAF Base Edinburgh facilities will support training operations for personnel responsible for operating and sustaining one of the world’s most advanced maritime patrol aircraft.

Through this contract, ATSP JV, along with its principal subcontractor, Aechelon, will support the continued availability and effectiveness of P-8A training infrastructure across three strategically important locations, contributing to the readiness of U.S. and allied aircrews.
